“The ebb and flow of life on a creel boat.”

In one moment, it’s all expectation and action. The next time, reflect and rest until arriving at the next fleet of creels, where the dance of anticipation begins again.  Over the past three years, I have spent many mornings jumping on the creel boats.  The camaraderie, the energy, but mostly the way the light hits the water at dawn, means never is a morning wasted.

This is a snapshot of an ongoing personal series looking at the next generation of small local fishing boats and their crews in and around the islands and coastlines of Scotland.
